The first way with Panigale V4 R leaving marks in the history of racing bikes is with the engine. The V4 in this configuration is the absolute protagonist of the guide. Friendly but strong in the first half of the tachimeter - so, however absurd it may seem, in the first 8,000 rpm - then begins a killing run towards a limiter that never seems to arrive. Keep telling yourself: now I have to change gear. Instead he stretches, stretches, stretches, in a growing of thrust unknown to any opposing road bike. The problem, if you can talk about a problem, is that you get very speed before the curves. We must hope that the braking systes has all the power to slow down. And he has it. And it also has excellent modulability. All guarded by a fork so indifferent to our efforts to be almost unpleasant. It is perhaps even frustrating to ride this bike without having the tools to exploit it. It is all so monstrously performing: there are wings which reduce the tendency to rise the nose; there is a lot of traction and there is a careful traction control; there is the manageability necessary to dance in the left-right with the grace of an athlete. And yet: there is a lot of aerodynamic protection, there is a gear that surprising. There is, to put it as it should be said, a motorcycle built to make the best for professional rider, who have in his hands something really like a race ready. Surely, the bike closer to a real racing bike that I have ever had the fortune to ride. The V4 R is the best performing superbike ever built. And riding it is something unique.
